"Nakiri" means "vegetable knife" in Japanese and is used to cut most fruits and vegetables in the kitchen, from apples to zucchini. The nakiri blade shape is also very practical. Safer to use in the kitchen due to its blunt tip. Thanks to its straight blade, edge and spine, nakiri doesn't wobble like a chef's knife. Instead, use a push cut by moving the knife down and forward while keeping the edge parallel to the cutting surface. If you're preparing vegetables for salads or stir-fries, you'll love using Nakiri.

This beautiful mirror-finished version of damascus is constructed from 66 layers of Damascus stainless steel with a VG10 fat carbon steel core. These knives have a seriously sharp edge, excellent edge hold and a light center-balanced feel. Each knife is hand sharpened to ensure maximum sharpness, right out of the box.

Finished with a riveted G10 composite handle for ultimate comfort and durability, with traditional mosaic pins and end caps. The smooth connection between the handle and the bolster helps prevent calluses from forming on the thumb and index finger.
